Full Stack (Laravel/Vue) Developer

Under the trade name AcheronTrading, the company is a designated market maker and provides liquidity and advisory services to digital asset issuers on exchanges worldwide. It is our belief that market inefficiency is one of the factors preventing digital assets/cryptocurrencies from achieving mass adoption. As such, our focus is to construct and provide liquidity services for digital assets from the most incipient stages and throughout their adoption cycle.

Today, Acheron’s markets represent over ten billion in market share across over thirty exchanges worldwide with team members concentrated in North America and Europe.

Our Services

The following services are included in our portfolio:

(i) Algorithmic market-making services – we provide liquidity for digital assets upon the request of, and on the exchanges designated by the customer: exchanges require digital assets issuers to maintain certain levels of liquidity to remain listed on their platform and we ensure our customers meet (and often exceed) such requirements;

(ii) Exchange advisory and planning – we research, identify and assess the suitable exchange(s) for a digital asset issuer throughout the lifecycle of its digital asset;

(iii) Risk management and modelling – we consult teams in selecting the appropriate liquidity strategy to develop a liquid market while managing the inventory risk for their digital assets

Current Opportunity

We are looking to add a Full Stack Engineer to assist our dev team to maintain the code base as well as adding backend features including but not limit to exchange integration, blockchain integration, trading strategy implementation. You will receive hands-on training from senior members of our dev team and learn about algorithmic trading and blockchain development.

We are seeing candidates in the following areas

Remote work is possible, our offices & engineering is located in:

• Belgium, Europe (CET timezone preferred)

Remote work from different regions is also possible, as long as communication can be had during European hours.

What you will be doing

• Maintain our backoffice to manage clients, accounts, strategies

• Add new reporting tools to assist our trading team to make informed decisions

• Automate the rollout of new strategies

• Expand our client portal ("Command Station") to offer more self-management capabilities

• Add exchange integration (REST and WebSocket API)

• Add blockchain integration (EVM and non EVM, including Solana)

• Help, debug and trouble shoot with our trading team

• Extending & maintaining test suite

• Implementing security best-practices along the way

Skills and experience

• At least 3-5+ years of experience in Laravel / Vue, including experience with:

  • Laravel 10

  • PHP 8.3

  • MySQL 8

  • Redis 5

• Excellent written and verbal English (nearly all communication is remote/asynchronous over internal chat)

Additional skillset that would put you ahead:

• Familiar with blockchain technology basics

• Familiar with blockchain frameworks such as web3.js

• Basic understanding/interest in market microstructure and trading
